Fixtures for Winter 2025-26

The season is scheduled in two blocks, starting in September 2025 and concluding in March 2026. The competing teams include Kirby A, Ayton Club, Sports Club A, Nunthorpe Rec, Sports Club B, and Kirby B.

Opening Night: The league kicks off on September 30, 2025.

Key Match Information

  • Start Time: All matches are scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM.
  • Format: The match format is determined by a random draw and consists of 3 Scotch Doubles followed by 6 singles matches.
  • Team Size: A minimum of three players is required for a team. If a team has only three players, they will forfeit two doubles games.
  • Results: Match results must be submitted by the Friday of each week.

New League Sponsorship

Jon Walker from My Insurance Broker has announced that his business will be the main sponsor for the Stokesley Blackball Pool League in 2025. He shares a personal connection to the sport through his 11-year-old son, Charlie, who began playing for a team at age 8 and now plays for Guisborough Town Football Club and New Marske Club. Charlie is also set to begin playing at the county level in January 2025. The business is a small, two-person operation run by Jon and his partner, Rebecca.

My Insurance Broker specialises in financial protection products such as Life Insurance, Mortgage Protection, Income Protection, and Critical Illness cover. They primarily operate through customer recommendations, helping clients protect their homes, children, and income. Jon invites anyone to have an informal chat to review existing policies or to consider new coverage. As a special offer, the business never charges fees and will refund a client’s first premium.
